Pay-per-Click and Link Building Campaigns

Pay per click, everyday more and more webmasters fear this system mostly due to the fact that there is some very real risk when it comes to advertising a site through this traffic platform. It is common ground that PPC is mainly used to directly advertise or sell a product because of its quality and conversion ratios but it can also be used to brand, grow a customer base and at the same time get some valuable inbound links.

When you start a PPC campaign you might assume that the links that you're getting straight from page 1 of Google (or your search engine of choice) are the links that were talking about however, this isn't the case. The links that you get after you have paid in order to generate this clicked traffic are not permanent and Google will not take them in consideration when it is time to assign your site a page rank, the links that you get to your site after using a pay per click platform will come directly from sites owned by people who have visited your landing page, in order to earn those links your continent must be good or as some webmasters would say "sticky"

Clear Design and Layout

This is a critical step you must master before actually throwing a website or a webpage for that matter, into a pay per click system, your design must be very intuitive, if you have a blog which you know doesn't have an intuitive design then you can create a subdomain and make a mini site within that sub-domain which will have clear and big images that will catch the attention of your visitors and direct them towards the action you want them to take. The first time they arrived to your site they should be able to deduce what it is about without giving it too much thought, so try to insert a very descriptive line of text at the top or at the center of your graphics, it is recommended that you use Photoshop for this one.

Remember that there is a lost of people who don't have high-speed access, so try to make your graphics as light as possible because in the end they click that are coming from visitors who use dial-up services do count as far as the search engines go.

Link Building and Creative

This is the most important part, once you have the attention of the visitor it is time to earn their loyalty by offering them something they want, you may want to come up with some way to give away something for free, whether it is information, downloadable goods, material goods or any other sort of incentive would work just fine. Remember that you won't be giving your product away for free forever, this is only being done as a marketing strategy which will get people talking about your site and in turn it will earn you lots of valuable one way incoming links which is exactly what this step is about.

Basically the more creative you get with your strategy the better the results you will get but remember that you must offer something people want in a very attractive way, in other words, you need to learn how to present the product.

Allowing Visitors to Come Back

There are several ways that you can get to keep your visitors after you have discontinued your PPC strategy, the most effective one is by offering live bookmarks in your site. By coding a simple button which allows your visitors to bookmark your site you will be gaining a loyal visitor because most people who bookmark a site are doing it because they are very interested in the product or service you are offering. A bookmark can also help you get those visitors who are always in a hurry, if someone had just come across your site and for some reason they had to leave, they can simply click on your bookmark button and come back when they have more time.

In addition, it is also a wise move to include a way for your visitors to share your site with their friends and family, so including a link to an e-mail forward script would perfectly complement your live bookmark button, think about these strategies carefully and put them in action in order to get tons of quality one-way links.
