1. Set the machine on a heavy or sturdy table that is rated to hold at least 500lbs. Although the jogging machine doesn't weigh very much if the table is not extremely heavy duty it will not be able to support the vibrations of the jogger. The table must be sturdy enough that it will not shake or move at all during the jogging process.
2. Do not set any other objects or machines on the same table as the jogger. Small objects or tools will add noise to jogging process and may vibrate off the surface of the table.
3. Keep the table free of dust, and oil. Any dust or oil on the table can cause the paper jogger to move during the jogging process.
4. For best results and where noise level is a concern, use a small (13" x 16") piece of rubber, rug or cardboard underneath the base of the jogger. This will help to reduce the amount of vibration that is transferred into the work surface or table below the jogger.
5. For most joggers, the amount of vibration and the angle of the bin are factory-set for the ideal set up to better handle all types of paper stock. However, most jogging machines have adjustments that allow you to increase or decrease the amount of vibration or the angle of the jogging bin. Remember though that the more vibration that your jogger uses the more noise that it will produce.
6. Be careful when picking up your paper jogger. It is important to never pick up, grab, lift or handle the machine by the jogging bin. Instead, the machine must only be carried by holding it from the bottom base. If you do pick up or handle the jogger by the jogging bin you will run the risk of throwing your machine out of alignment or causing damage to your machine.
7. Never leave your jogging machine unattended while in operation.
Using these seven tips, you should be able to set up your jogging machine, increase your productivity and decrease the noise that the jogger produces. Give these things a try and enjoy happy jogging.
